mtoia blog

the blog is crazy to me in that it was a background idea that spontaneously took form when I had a week and a half basically alone out of town.

still in it’s baby state so development will likely be a project for the foreseeable future. at least until I’m at a solid version 0.1 or something. currently working on transitioning to Hugo static site generator.

no more cable

recently cancelled my cable tv package. cable tv sucks. my theory is that it’s unecessary in the age of high speed internet, and availability of personal storage hardware with server software to support. to test my theory (and to stop paying for something I know sucks) and stand on my words, I cancelled.

now, I look to embark on the journey of turning my Raspberry Pi into a media hub.

linux audio

linux is my shit. ever since multiple blue screens of death led me to linux those years ago, it has been my shit. always will be. but linux audio is a pain in the ass. compatibility with what I already use (software and hardware) to produce music is the only reason I even still have a copy of windows.

anyway… I have an old lenovo with AV Linux installed. using reaper, added a few plugins. the project is to have a setup and workflow that allows for recording microcast type stuff (recording and mixing), and sample based beat production.
